Europe’s number one consumer electronics retailer is highly focused on people, and aims to meet the expectations of customers, partners and employees alike. Each store is an independent company, allowing a great deal of autonomy to encourage personal initiatives and creativity. Media Markt spends more on advertising than all other competitors, and 96% of the German population knows its former slogan "Ich bin doch nicht blöd."(“I'm not stupid.”) as a result. Its new multichannel strategy was launched in late 2014, along with a corresponding price strategy to ensure fair, consistent pricing across all channels. Customers can now choose to purchase online or offline, and have their purchases available for pick up in store or be delivered to their homes – a key differentiator in the market. These efforts show how responsive Media Markt is to customer needs and preferences. They have also also introduced an updated corporate design and brand-specific font, which is currently being implemented throughout Europe. The brand made a slight gain in value, enough to climb up to number 32 in the 2015 ranking.
