To mark its 150th anniversary, the company launched a new tagline: “We create chemistry™”. This was accompanied by extensive and visible changes in the brand identity and structure, including a new international consistency, a unique tone of voice for the industry, personal storytelling and distinctive visuals. Also, BASF launched the “Creator Space”; a platform for people to share, debate and create solutions to key challenges in the modern world in collaboration with industry experts. BASF managed to increase its brand value by 8% as a result of these numerous successful efforts. In addition to strengthening its brand, BASF has a strong focus on CSR, innovation and sustainability, as seen in a recent campaign in Italy focused on creating furniture out of recyclable materials.
